Welcome to whycablesucks.org this site was created because of many personal experiences, including my own. I hope you find this information useful and welcome any other information or comments. feel free to browse around and know that all of the information provided is not fabricated. No I did not get fired from the cable company nor have any personal relationships with anyone working for a cable company.
To get started
· Cable tries to dissuade customers from switching to satellite with misleading ads.
· Unlike cable, satellite programming is delivered to you in 100% pure digital format.
· Satellite offers high quality digital reception on ALL of its channels. Even “digital” cable still provides about half of its channels on an often fuzzy analog signal.
· A digital cable box is approximately twice the size of a satellite receiver.
· Cable has less high definition programming than Dish Network or DirecTV.
· Cable prices have continued to spiral upward since they began investing billions of dollars on high speed internet, phone service and digital TV.
· Cable will cost you more money for fewer channels.
· Cable would like you to believe that every little change in weather affects the satellite signal. This simply isn’t true.
· Cable neglects to mention the fact that they receive their signal from satellites and then distribute it to their customers via miles and miles of wire.
